Luzern and Surroundings
This time of year
the weather is very unpredictable, according to the locals. I guess we just hit
a bad day weather- wise, but we still enjoyed it. What scenery we could see was lovely; the fall colors, the very green mountain pastures with farm homes scattered throughout and even down to the cows grazing in the valley with their bells clanging with each chew. It was all “Heidiesque” and beautiful.
After we got back to town we started exploring the old town and put quite a few miles on the old feet. We saw some old wooden covered bridges and cobblestone streets as well as parts of the old city walls, built in 1386. After we were done exploring, we went back to where we were staying and had bread, cheese and nice conversation with our hosts. We feel slightly more knowledgeable about the Swiss culture.
